Jerry accepted everyone with an open heart, he was one
of a kind, never had much to say and got along with everyone and was
very easy going. Jerry embodied the best of qualities, unconditional
love, strength of spirit and an unending generosity. He was very
dedicated and had a willingness to go above and beyond to meet the
needs of whom he was working for, through thick or thin. His
alarm would go off at 3.30 am every morning and Jerry would push
himself through the tough times and continue to give his full
dedication to his work, always willing to work hard to accomplish what
he set out to do!! That was Jerry's strong sense of purpose and
motivation by a deep passion for his work and desire to make a
positive impact on others. Jerry had another side that no one saw but
family. I never had to open my vehicle door because he would always
jump out and run to open it for me, always making me a snack late at
night - not eating unless I was there to start with him. Jerry was
counting the days till work was done and making plans to go Grand
Manan Island and Cabot trail. When he was working I would get a text
every break he had to let me know he was okay. You would think after
so many years a person would get tired of telling you that you're
beautiful and they love you. But not Jerry, he never missed a day. He
would sooner make my cards then buy them as they would mean more,
always picking driftwood or sea glass up for me. Jerry stepped into
his role as a stepfather very quickly and formed an unbreakable bond.
Jerry was their number one fan, always there to offer his love,
support, and encouragement to them. Jerry was always worried about
becoming a father at age 40. He would say to me "trust me nothing
makes you live in the moment quite like having children in your
life".
Every chance Jerry would get to
ride his Harley bike, he would tell me that the best therapy is a long
ride to clear your mind and cleanse your soul.
