It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, David "Joel" Kennedy on Wednesday June 26, 2024, aged 56, of High Bank, PE.

After a short, but courageous fight, Joel passed peacefully with his beloved soulmate of 35 years, Monique (Boudreau) Kennedy, along with his forever loved and cherished children, Jordon (Shannis Gray) Kennedy, Ashton (Mike) Bekkers, Alesha (Justice Bowlan) Kennedy, and JD (Emma Johnston) Kennedy by his side.

Born in Charlottetown, PE on October 10, 1967, to his Mum Joyce (Livingstone) Kennedy and late father Jake Kennedy, Joel was a true family man and beyond proud Grampie to Eli, Charlie, Lola & Kolt.  A trusted and loving big brother to Chris (Marlo) Kennedy, Jonathan (Jessica) Kennedy, Nella-Anne Kennedy and Ronald (Lisa) Kennedy. Son-in-law to Dennis & Barb Boudreau; and special brother to sisters-in-law, Michele (Matt) Koughan and Chantelle (Randy) Paquet.

Numerous nieces and nephews will feel the loss of "Uncle Joelie’s" love and encouragement and his many cousins and friends will forever miss his stories and laughs.

Predeceased by twins at infancy; grandparents, Stanley & Nella Livingstone and Forbes & Julia Kennedy; and uncles Wayde and Ronnie Livingstone.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service to be held at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2 pm, with live streaming. Interment to follow in the Little Sands Cemetery.

Donations to the Easter Seals Society of PEI would be appreciated.
